Praise You in the Storm by Wyndy Dee
Storms come and go throughout life
Some, comes as a light shower on a spring morning
Some, drastic, pulling at your very foundation
Some, so fierce it uproots you, broken and lost.
How do you recover from a violent uprooting?
An attack so startling and unexpected
A storm so strong, your life is forever changed
In the blink of an eye, less than a few seconds. . . renders you hopeless.
Fear, anger, hopelessness, heartbroken
Foundation shaken, cracked and pieces scattered
What do you stand on?
How do you pick up the pieces?
Remember, who you built your foundation on
Remember, who He has placed in your life
For a time such as this, family and friends
Grateful, thankful, hopeful, knowing. . .
In Him, no matter the storm in life
No matter how bad it seems, though the pain is real
He is the light shining through the break in the storm
Guiding, ever loving, comforting, even butt-kicking,
He sees beyond our failures
Beyond our frustrations
Faithful even when we are not
A new creature molded through the pain
This is how we continue
Continue to our destiny
Our purpose, His plan
Praise Him during the Storm. . .
Restore the foundation.
The picture that inspired the poem
Awww thanks!
